Today Adam Afriyie has expressed concern with new flight path trials over Windsor, Ascot and elsewhere, and urged Heathrow Airport to work with the local community to find a solution.
Adam Afriyie, MP for Windsor, said:
"Many of us are acutely aware that Heathrow is currently trialling new flight paths over Windsor, Ascot and elsewhere. My postbag and inbox are full of letters and emails from concerned residents who have contacted me to say that the noise from these aircraft is disturbing and alarming. I am not surprised and I am currently writing replies to everyone who has been in contact.
"I have also been in contact with Heathrow Airport to request more information about these trials and express constituents' concerns directly. Heathrow Airport Ltd must take these concerns seriously, and I urge them to find a solution that is acceptable to the local community.
"For 10 years I have been fighting Heathrow expansion and I will continue to fight tooth and nail against any increase in flights which exposes more people to higher levels of aircraft noise."
