Labour?
Labour
Sympathies?
I've spoken to many lifelong Labour voters on the
doorsteps and most will agree that the new Labour
experiment has not worked as they had hoped. Many
are angry that the Labour Government has done the
opposite of what was expected.
Most of people I speak to who decided to give labour a
chance in 1997 are now disillusioned. They
recognised that despite Tony Blair appearing to be a
nice chap, he has failed to deliver what he promised on
so many fronts and Gordon Brown has done an equally poor
job with the economy.
If you have given Labour the benefit of the doubt, it is
definitely now time to reconsider and cut your losses.
I am delighted that many people feel able to move on a
support Conservative policies as the best way to ensure
a fairer society.
I understand why many lifelong Labour voters tell me they
are unlikely to vote next time. At the last
election they wanted to
reduce his majority to send the message that they
were dissatisfied.
Some things have improved a little but overall the story of the Labour Government is 'they tried but
failed' and it's you and I and the people of Britain who
are paying the price of failure with:
- Less security in old age with reduced pensions
- Unsafe streets with rising anti-social behaviour &
violent crime
- Less money from more than 66 tax rises
- Stressful waits for NHS treatment with 1 million on
waiting lists
- Pressure on services from uncontrolled immigration
- Mounting debts especially for the young from tuition fees
Enough is enough... surely? |
