Difficulties at East Berkshire College
30-Mar-07, Windsor Express
Article.
Last week, I attended the opening of East
Berkshire College’s new campus building in St Leonard’s
Road, Windsor. Her Majesty the Queen and the Duke of
Edinburgh attended to officially open the building which
will provide students and staff with state of the art
teaching facilities and resources, and is fully
accessible to disabled users.
The college is already regarded as one of our most
successful: its students gain some of the best A Level
marks in the country, with an above average 94% exam
pass rate, and the new building and facilities can only
help to enhance its reputation.
The guests at the opening were treated to a full tour of
the new campus and I was delighted and encouraged to
learn of the integration of a department for those with
learning difficulties. The bright, clean, modern campus
has also really improved the look of the area and we
should be proud of it. I wish the staff and students
every success with their education and look forward to
hearing of their successes in the future! |
