Getting Younger

It is not often that I attend a function and feel
out of place. But that is exactly how I felt at Windsor
Conservatives recent '30 under 30' event for younger
members. Once upon a time I was one of the younger
members at these kind of events but at this one I very
definitely felt my age!
David Cameron’s leadership has certainly attracted many
new members and I am delighted that so many of them are
of the younger generation. Politicians often talk about
their desire to reach out to younger voters and get them
involved in our democracy. so it is a credit to David
that people of all ages are coming forward and taking an
active part in politics once again.
The enthusiasm and get-up-and-go of many of the guests
was a delight to see and can only bode well for the
future. And whilst I am perhaps no longer one of the
younger generation of members, I am glad that the party
and democracy looks to be in such good health!. |
I
believe
People are happier
when making their own decisions.
Business is the
engine of the economy that generates our jobs, incomes and
taxes.
Government should
not interfere in our lives beyond protecting and defending
us.
