Christmas
Thankyous
22-Dec-06, Windsor Express
Article.
Whilst reflecting during the Christmas season I
was struck by just how much good work and hard work is
undertaken by professionals and volunteers across the
constituency.
So I wanted to take the opportunity to say a public thank
you. There is never enough space in this short column so if
I’ve missed anyone out, please do let me know.
I want to thank nurses, doctors, consultants, hospital
staff, those who work in the hospices, all those who work
for Windsor and Maidenhead Volunteers, the teachers and
staff of our local schools, our fire fighters, police and
paramedics, our brave soldiers and also the numerous
charities in and around Windsor which do so much good for
local residents.
I also want to thank my staff, without whom, it would not
have been possible to deal with more than 30,000 incoming
enquiries and work. Just opening the post is a job in its
own right!
The list is not exhaustive and in closing I’d like to say
thank you to the Windsor Express for their excellent local
coverage and campaigning over the last year which keeps us
up to speed with what’s going on in and around the
constituency. Have a great Christmas and New Year. |
I
believe
People are happier
when making their own decisions.
Business is the
engine of the economy that generates our jobs, incomes and
taxes.
Government should
not interfere in our lives beyond protecting and defending
us.
